The last few weeks have been a bit tumultuous in the Black family. From heart attacks and hospitalizations to vacations, cross-country moves, and cancelled flights, is anyone actually surprised that being a Black is license for chaos? Here are a few bite-size updates on the whereabouts and happenings of various family members:
Grandmother: After a week and a half in the hospital, she is glad to be home, regaining her strength, and getting used to her "leash" of an oxygen tube and tank, as she likes to call it.
Dale: After a successful double bypass in Odessa, Texas on March 21, Dale and Lucy drove to Las Cruces where he spent time recovering and Lucy tended to her mom. Both flew back to Chattanooga this past Sunday and hope to stay put for a while.
Jan: Got to spend a weekend in Las Cruces with her siblings and mom, but ended up being stranded in Atlanta for a night on her way home because of airline mechanical difficulties. Due back to Tupelo today, but planning to return to Las Cruces for Easter weekend.
Tammy and Betsy H.: Happy Birthdays!
Elizabeth: Still no sign of that baby.
John and Vangie: Visiting Josh and Bryonie in Scotland on a much deserved vacation.
Joanna: Just made the big and official move to Las Cruces, thanks to Mark for driving his future bride safely across the country. Joanna can be reached at Grandmother's address until after the wedding.
Ian: Scored a goal at his soccer game on Saturday. His team, the Jedi, lost this one, but with Ian's sweet moves, they are sure to do well in the future!
